Description
Born near the Atlantic shores of the New Hampshire Seacoast, Idlewild was formed in celebration of and to pay tribute to American southern rock powerhouse, The Allman Brothers Band!
The Allman Brothers Band were arguably the most influential rock group in America during the early ’70s, thanks in no small part to ‘At Fillmore East’ (a high-water mark for concert albums), that redefined the scope of rock’s musical boundaries. They pioneered the twin-lead guitar sound so prevalent during the decade that continued well into the 21st century. The group placed an emphasis on musicianship, in seamlessly melding rock, blues, jazz, and R&B with extended improvisation. They directly influenced virtually all ’70s rock acts south of the Mason-Dixon Line, including the Marshall Tucker Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the jam band movement of the ’90s.
Performance Details:
- This show takes place at our DERRY location.
- All ages are welcome at this performance.
- Doors open at 7:00pm. The performance begins at 8:00pm and includes an intermission. We recommend arriving at 7:00pm with your entire party if you have a strong preference for your seating location.
- This event has unassigned, open seating in theater style rows facing our platform stage in our Vineyard Ballroom.
- Tickets are electronic and will be emailed to you immediately upon purchase online. The name on the ticket does not need to match the name of the person attending, if you would like to give tickets as a gift.
