Derry, New Hampshire —  LaBelle Winery and Sysco, a global wholesale restaurant food distribution company, have renewed their partnership to support End 68 Hours of Hunger, a multi-state nonprofit organization that works to combat childhood food insecurity.

The collaboration, which initially ran from March 2023 through June 2023, will continue to provide fresh fruit for children in need.

Amy LaBelle, founder, winemaker and co-owner of LaBelle Winery, worked to secure the ongoing commitment from Sysco. “We’re grateful to Sysco for their continued support in addressing this critical need in our community,” LaBelle says. “The success of our initial program demonstrated the positive impact we can make together.”

As the company did last year, Sysco will deliver donated cases of apples and oranges to LaBelle Winery’s Derry location on a weekly basis. Volunteers will then pick up the fruit and incorporate it into food bags which will be distributed to local children each weekend.

Belinda Boldeia, a sales consultant at Sysco, says, “Sysco is proud to continue our support for End 68 Hours of Hunger. Ensuring that children have access to fresh, nutritious food is a cause close to our hearts.”

End 68 Hours of Hunger, which relies on volunteers and donations, provides food for children who might otherwise go hungry during the approximately 68 hours between their Friday school lunch and Monday school breakfast. The partnership’s renewal aligns with LaBelle Winery’s charitable giving program, which focuses on helping families avoid food insecurity.

“The continuation of this program reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our community,” LaBelle says.
