Amherst, New Hampshire — LaBelle Winery will host a Rosé Release Party at its Amherst location on Wednesday May 1, 2019 from 6 to 7 p.m. The event will celebrate the release of LaBelle’s new rosé wine and the upcoming summer season. The release party is open to the public free of charge, but pre-registration is required.

Girls at Work is a nonprofit organization that works to empower girls with tools to overcome adversity and build the confidence needed to face current and future life challenges. Attendees of LaBelle’s rosé release party are asked to help the winery support this organization by donating a new pair of sneakers in any size or style for a girl age 6 to 16.

Guests will be invited to sample LaBelle’s new rosé vintage, enjoy a selection of appetizers from The Bistro at LaBelle Winery and socialize with friends.

LaBelle rosé is a classic blend of grenache and syrah grapes, imported from Walla Walla, Washington. The wine has a fruity character, exhibiting aromas of watermelon, florals and strawberries. On the palate, this wine offers a refined and elegant flavor profile. Its slightly elevated acidity complements poultry and seafood dishes, and salad courses. This dry wine is also perfect for sipping on its own. Enjoy LaBelle rosé well chilled.

Amy LaBelle, LaBelle Winery’s co-owner and winemaker, says, “I’ve wanted for some time to craft a traditional rosé for our customers to enjoy. I’m pleased that there has been a resurgence in the popularity of rosé, as it’s a beautiful, versatile wine that can be enjoyed at a formal wedding or casual garden party. I appreciate the sophisticated, but never pretentious, character of rosé, and its pretty pink color. Whenever I drink rosé, the occasion feels special, and I can’t wait to share it with my family and friends.

“LaBelle Winery staff recently partook in a teamwork event at Girls at Work. Three teams of five or six staff members built three picnic tables. Two of those tables can be seen here at the winery, and the other was auctioned off at Girls at Work’s 5th annual Diva Comedy Night event. I love this organization and look forward to sharing their good work at our release party.”

With the introduction of its new rosé, LaBelle has opted to use a screw top rather than a cork for the wine’s bottle closure.

“We love screw tops for some of our wines, and for rosé it works,” LaBelle says. “Not only does a screw top preserve the wine, it’s also convenient and sustainable.”
